I’d like to share a wonderful supplier with you, we used them for our wedding flowers and received so many compliments and questions, that I think it’s only fair to everyone.
I present the fantastic; Accents and Petals.
I really do love flowers of all kinds. Their fragrance, their wonderful and unusual shapes and their beautiful colour, but we just couldn’t decide on what to have. Our wedding colour scheme was multi coloured (you can see our wedding here) and it was difficult to get flowers that would work in all those colours, and in February – what would be in season?
When I came across the beautiful wooden flowers, so delicate and colourful, one day on the internet I knew instantly we had found the flowers for our wedding day.
Accents and Petals, based in the Philippines, is a business formed from a deep appreciation of recycling and reusing, The wooden flowers are made from salvaged shipping crates from sea ports. Each petal is shaved from the wood and formed into flowers by hand, one by one. The added beauty of the flowers is that they will never wilt, they will last a lifetime.
We had bouquets made for each of the bridesmaids in the colour of their different dresses, and buttonhole flowers for the groomsmen to match their different shirts.
Ben (Mr Head Full of Feathers!) had buttonhole flowers to match his suit and waistcoat, and my bouquet was a mix of all the colours, bringing us all together.
For the table centres we wanted to create something stunning, yet simple, using the flowers. Since my favourite flowers are cherry blossom, we created a blossom tree from a tree branch and with coloured wooden flowers and fairy lights all over it. Each blossom tree matched the colour for the table. Each table was named after its own colour for the guests to find their seats.
I highly recommend Accents and Petals. Yanni is so very helpful and will try anything for your bouquet. She sends photos of your design before she sends them too, and is always willing to make changes if you need her to.
I hope you enjoy looking at these pretty images as much as I do,
